Screen Printing who needs it

All we see and hear is companies adding new wide format equipment. Does any one agree that there is still a need for good quality screen printing. Or are the days of screen printing numbered.

"Hi Matt I think that you are right. This will be one of the big marketing things soon. Repro Arts have been using QR codes for the last six months. It is the way forward."

"We just bought a digital direct to garment printer to use when it's either too few to screen print, too many colors on a small quantity or personalization of a screen printed order such as name and number on jerseys."

"Hi Matthew Also all the special effect inks like spot UV in matt & gloss, fluorescent. Screen print gives a good life span over a number of years. Finishing on long runs is less time consuming when screen printed."

"I think that screen printing will still be around for a long time yet, there are times when digital print cannot compete price & time wise with screen printing (large quantites that are printed only 1 or 2 colours)"
